walking on water wasn’t built in a day

Oil on linen

40 cm x 40 cm

this title comes from jack kerouac, on his first (and last) mushroom trip in NYC in 1961. his fellow travelers were timothy leary and allen ginsberg, who reported that jack was very silent during his trip, but near the end of the night he said “walking on water wasn’t built in a day” before going outside to play football in the snow…

in celebration of his journey, i have also made four different versions available for print
