I have been a Marcel Duchamp fan for a very long time, especially his Readymade “Paris Air”, which was an ampoule of air he gave as a gift to a friend in NYC back in 1919. It is a brilliant idea, and it is pure Duchamp genius, so I asked myself how can I pull one off? It would have to be something worthy, so that got me thinking about what I can find over here in Berlin that might be as good, a Readymade staring me straight in my third eyeball, so that is where I got the idea for my first Readymade “STASI FARTS”. It is dedicated to Marcel Duchamp who I think would approve, and I know Rik Mayall would approve, too.
